Social distancing study wants volunteers

7 May 2020

Researchers at the University of Oxford are looking for volunteers from across the globe to take part in a new study looking into how social distancing has affected their lives during the Covid-19 pandemic. Volunteers can complete the online survey, which will track people’s feelings and experiences over a 3-month period.

To take part in the study, visit https://distancing-covid19-survey.herokuapp.com/

Virtual Get-together – May 2020

Join us for our first virtual get-together. Register here!

Hopefully you have all been good and staying at home. The Oxford10 Committee has been too. But we’ve been working hard to help the Oxford10 community stay connected in these weird and (admittedly not so) wonderful circumstances.

Our first event is a light get-together for everyone to just catch up and find out how everyone is coping (or not). We are also looking to organise more events, including an online pub quiz and movie night, and would very much like to crowdsource! Bring your ideas, tell us what you’d like to have – and if lockdown ends early #hallelujah, we can always organise them in person!

Reach for the Stars – from your living room!

Join BBC’s Sky At Night presenter Chris Lintott, Professor of Astrophysics, and lead of the Zooniverse.org project at Oxford’s Department of Physics, for a ‘live’ ramble around the night sky.

Date: Sunday 26 April

Time: 8.30-9.30pm BST

The session will include plenty of time for Q&A, so come equipped with space-related questions. No telescope will be necessary, just head to your back garden, balcony, or bedroom window.

Please note! If you are using a mobile device to access the session, you may need to download the WebEx app in advance. You find it here at Google Play or the App Store.
